The position of the Speaker of the Assembly is now vacant.

In Friday's session, the Speaker of the Assembly, Lindita Nikolla, announced that she has resigned from her important position for health reasons. According to her, the situation she is in makes it impossible to perform the high state duty.

Sources for CNA inform that the candidates for the replacement of Lindita Nikolë are: the Minister of State for Relations with the Assembly of Albania, Elisa Spiropali, the head of the Parliamentary Group of the SP Bledi Çuçi, as well as the head of the Special Commission that will convene in appeal to the institutions of justice, Fatmir Xhafaj. Elisa Spiropali

Elisa Spiropali

Elisa Spiropali, or as we all know Elisa of the incinerators, started her political career in 2009. After becoming a member of the Socialist Party, she was briefly appointed Director General of Customs and then spokesperson of the Presidency of The party. She was elected as a member of the Albanian Parliament after the 2013 General Elections and is now the Minister of State for Relations with the Albanian Parliament.

Ignoring the corruption of Veliaj's directors, Çuçi expressed his support for the mayor of Tirana in a recent conference. Fatmir Xhafaj
