"It's not just Berisha's fault"/ Murrizi: If the race for DP chairman opens, I will participate

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sai Berisha, held a meeting today with Lars Hänsel, director of the Department for Europe and North America at the German CDU Foundation, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung.
During the meeting, Berisha emphasized that the farce of May 11 will be denounced in every European capital.
Through a post on social media, Berisha shared footage from the meeting and stated that, among other things, he informed the German CDU official about organized crime in the May 11 elections, the Troplin cartel case, and electoral crime.
"Today I had the pleasure of hosting Mr. Lars Hänsel, Director of the Department for Europe and North America at the German CDU Foundation, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, in a meeting. In this meeting, I took the opportunity to thank Mr. Hänsel, as well as the Director of the KAS office for Albania, Thomas Kunze, present at the meeting, for all the invaluable support that KAS has provided to the Democratic Party and the Albanian opposition in difficult days in increasing its capacities, in drafting and promoting the economic program to the Albanian public.
Albania, I emphasized at the meeting, is an authoritarian dictatorship which, unlike the totalitarian dictatorship we went through decades ago, does not have ideology, but has drugs as the main driving force that decides on the streets, in parliament, in government, in the courts, the prosecution, that decides who will be in government and who will be in parliament, etc. It is drugs that decide who runs, who wins and who runs the country and public agencies. There are at least 28 deputies that organized crime dictated in the May 11 elections, as evidenced in the most blatant way by the case of the Troplin cartel who, after the elections, were rewarded with permits for drug dens in Durrës.
I informed Mr. Hänsel that this reality is widespread in Durrës, but also in Elbasan, Shkodër and everywhere in the country, where electoral crime controls the territory with cameras, fear, corruption and cannabis licenses. Supported by a justice reform that instead of punishment gives them protection and inviolability, electoral crime turned May 11 into the most shameful farce of the Albanian transition. Shameful as was the letter sent to the OSCE/ODIHR mission immediately after May 11, as the foreign minister attempts through pressure to undo the findings and accusations of the blackest report ever edited in these 30 years.
A criminal mentality that characterizes all the links of the Rama government, from the Prime Minister, the Minister to the lowest patron. By also seeking the help of our Western partners such as KAS, the Democratic Party will strongly continue the battle for transparency and denunciation at the international level, so that the electoral farce of May 11 is rejected by every partner and ally of Albanian democracy. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy of the Democratic Party, Mr. Tomorr Alizoti, and Mr. Akil Kraja, Director of the DP Foundation for Freedom and Democracy”, - writes Berisha. /CNA
