The Chairman of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, held a meeting with the leaders of religious communities in Albania, where they discussed strengthening cooperation between state and religious institutions, as well as supporting their educational and social activities.

Through a post on social media, Balla expressed that Albania is a unique example of interfaith coexistence, where Muslims, Catholics, Orthodox, Bektashis and Evangelicals live in mutual respect and harmony.

Ballës writes that the meeting also served to discuss current issues as well as several legal acts that are currently being reviewed in the Assembly.

This religious harmony is a national asset and evidence of our European identity. I am always honored to meet with the leaders of religious communities, to discuss the needs for support from the state budget for their educational activities, issues and problems of the properties of religious institutions and on some legal acts that are being discussed in the Albanian Parliament.
