Integration/ Rama: 2030 is not a date I dreamed of, Albania is the most optimistic European country in the world

Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke about the negotiation process for Albania's integration into the EU at the EU enlargement summit.

Rama said that his vision is for Albania to sit at the EU table in 2030.

"2030 is not a date I dreamed of, but a deadline that is the result of a simple calculation. Together with the Commission, we have agreed on an ambitious calendar that foresees the conclusion of negotiations in 2027."

The average time we have to ratify this decision is about two years. We have seen this vision of sitting at the EU table in 2030.

As for the region, I would agree with what you said earlier, that it is an individual process that must fulfill its individual obligations.

"As for Albania, I can say out loud that we are the most optimistic European country in the world," Rama said./ CNA
