Berisha: I have accepted Bujar Leskaj's resignation as political leader of the DP for Vlora

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, declared today that he has accepted the resignation of Bujar Leskaj as political leader of the DP in the Vlora Region.  

In a statement to journalists, Berisha said that the announcement made in May by Leskaj is true.

Berisha said that he appreciates the resignation and that Leskaj will continue to contribute to the DP.

"Now, the truth is this. Bujar Leskaj came and gave me his resignation as the regional leader. I have no other comment until he made it public and I appreciate his resignation and that's all I can say. His suggestion is his suggestion. But as a step, I declare this. He will contribute to the DP, of course not as the regional leader," said Berisha./CNA
