The decision for Veliaj/Teliti: Deliberate, to leave a window open

For the deputy mayor of Tirana City Council, Dorian Teliti, the decision taken today by the Constitutional Court in favor of Erion Veliaj was expected.

He said that the decision was not a surprise since the procedures for seeking his dismissal were not supposed to be for absence from work but for serious violations such as the collapse of the theater, etc.

Invited to the show Log, Teliti said that this decision was intentional to leave a window open for Veliaj. 

"Today's decision was not a surprise, we have been denouncing it since after the SP Assembly, when the majority refused to act with the opposition for a common floor. We demanded that the procedure be followed and Veliaj be heard."

We requested that the dismissal not only include his 3-month absence from work, but also other violations.

There are many reasons why Veliaj should be dismissed. Suffice it to mention the decision of the Court of Appeal not to demolish the Theater and a decision from 2016, an official document where Veliaj signed the financial commitment on behalf of the Municipality without asking the Council.
