The founder of the Together Movement, Arlind Qori, has commented on the Constitutional Court's decision regarding Erion Veliaj.

According to Qori, the members of the Constitutional Court were not entirely free to decide in this case. Qori expressed with conviction that it was Rama who determined the decision, as over the weeks and days he feared that his power in Tirana was coming to an end.

"To its shame, the Constitutional Court ruled in favor of Erion Veliaj. But I don't think its members were entirely free to decide this case."

I strongly believe that it was Edi Rama who predetermined the Constitutional Court's decision because, as the weeks and days passed, he feared that his rule in Tirana was coming to an end.

For two factors: first, there are the divisions within the SP, where it seems that all those who are at risk of prison, Belinda Balluku, Erion Veliaj, etc., and other dissatisfied members of the SP, are trying to jump from the ship of power that has been in power until now as soon as possible.

The second has to do with the impact of the Joint Movement. Even the poll posted on a television station completely hostile to the Joint Movement, showed LB in the municipality of Tirana with a result of 12.5%. I strongly believe, and from other data I have, that our result in Tirana if the elections were held today, the result would be even higher. Not to mention that we would be the extraordinary surprise of these elections.

However, I appeal to the citizens of Tirana and Albania not to be upset by this decision. We will be on the streets every day. We will definitely demand elections. Even if we don't have local ones, we will have central ones because this government is coming to an end. This is a rotten government. Albania needs a new, vital, courageous force that tells the truth, that fights the conspiracies of corrupt politics and economic oligarchy. And this alternative is the Joint Movement. I invite you all to join us in our activity, the protests that we will hold and in everything to oppose this thoroughly rotten system whose last hour has come", said Qori./ CNA
