Race for Tirana/ Boçi: DP MPs will support Binaj without siding with him

Democratic MP, Luciano Boçi, spoke today regarding the opposition's support for the independent candidate for the Tirana municipal elections, Florjan Binaj.

Boçi stated in a television appearance that Democratic MPs will be distributed to certain areas of Tirana and will support the independent candidate in every way.

He said that this support will be realized without coming out to support Binaj in meetings, as according to him this could be used by opponents to attack the candidate.

 "The distribution of current Democratic Party deputies will be done in certain areas of Tirana, given that it has the greatest concentration of attention. The DP considers Binaj an independent candidate and will support him in all forms without the need to create appearances or appearances that will also be used to attack the candidate. I personally will not come out with the candidate but I will support him in any form ," said Boçi.

Meanwhile, regarding the candidates that the opposition supports in other municipalities where elections will be held, Boçi said that the same procedure was followed as in the case of support for Florjan Binaj in Tirana.

"The same procedure as in Tirana has been applied to candidates in other municipalities. But due to the smaller territories, they do not receive as much attention as Flori," the Democrat MP said./CNA
