"Luli i Vlorës" complains about Berisha

"The Flower of Vlorës", Gjergj Nika has complained about the leader of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha.

Luli's soldier, who has disappeared from politics and has not appeared since his next defeat in the May 11 elections, where he appeared singing to Rama during the campaign, is not satisfied with the DP's choice to support independent candidates who will compete in the local by-elections and as a result does not support the candidate for Vlora, Dionis Sota.

According to him, there should be a candidate with real political weight and tangible civic contributions, not the product of compromises, experiments, or a lack of names or alternatives.

Perhaps, Gjergj Nika is referring to the model of his president who has disappeared without a trace, Luli Basha, who has gone down in history as the man who lost all the elections held after 2013.

It is not easy, and it is even painful, to see your city slide from a period where candidacies had citizenship, weight, integrity, passion, and vision, to a reality where everything has turned into a game of interests, ridicule, and moral degradation.

Vlora has had people who have contributed with clear civic and political values, but over the years, local representation has weakened significantly.

This list clearly shows the degradation of the political process in the city: from real competition and representation of political weight, to periods where real alternatives are lacking.

The opposition candidate in Vlora for the by-elections should have real political weight and tangible civic contributions, not the product of compromises, experiments, or a lack of names or alternatives.

The opposition's support for candidates "outside politics" does not shift political responsibility, because running the city is a political and institutional responsibility.

Today, instead of passion and values, we only have interest and moral degradation.

Candidacy with integrity is not a moral luxury, but a minimum condition for real representation.

But integrity is not a slogan. There is no need for declarations, because people with integrity are known by their lives, by the way they have lived and worked, by their ability to say “No.” A person who has remained silent in the face of injustice, who has benefited from power, or who has changed positions according to the political wind, cannot suddenly become a symbol of public morality.

Vlora needs a real turnaround, for people with integrity, vision and real connection to the city.
