The independent candidate for the Municipality of Tirana who is supported by the opposition, Florjan Binaj, today revealed an aspect of his public life over the years.

In a television show, Binaj focused on his relationship with Prime Minister Edi Rama and his acquaintance with the arrested former mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.

Bianj said that the role of his life is precisely to be involved in the race for the leadership of the capital.

"The role of my life is what I am now. At that time, everyone who is part of politics was talking about Rama. Being his imitator, the last meeting with him was at a party in 2015. Since then I have neither spoken to him nor met him. The photos with Veliaj are from 2014-2015 or later, I don't remember well. I didn't know that it was Veliaj's activity. I went and at that time Veliaj was not who he is today, he had not done the things he has done today and the perception we have of him today is no longer for him," said Binaj./CNA
