They supported Binaj's candidacy for Tirana/ Bushati: What is the DP trying

Analyst Andi Bushati commented this evening on the Democratic Party's support for independent candidate Florjan Binaj.

Bushati stated in a television appearance that the Democratic Party knows the results of the elections in the Tirana municipality and is trying to show the wider public, rather than democratic supporters, that there are no more elections in Albania.

Meanwhile, he also added that if the DP were to come up with its own candidate, Agron Shehaj and Adriatik Lapaj would not support him.

"The problem is that there is no question here that the independent candidate is from the DP. But the question is why the DP needs an independent candidate. The problem is that even the DP itself knows the result, 70% Ogerta. The DP knows that there are no more elections in this country. This is the effort of a man who knows defeat but would convince a large part of the public that there are no more elections here. But if it were the DP candidate, Shehaj and Lapaj would not support him," said Bushati./CNA
