Survey/ Rama raises concern: Young teachers may leave the profession

Prime Minister Edi Rama has spoken about the teaching survey, raising a concern that according to the survey, young teachers may leave the profession if they do not feel supported and motivated.

"It is truly something very motivating for us and a source of pride for you and the teaching staff that our teachers are satisfied with their profession."

They don't do the work out of boredom or simply because they need to have a salary and they need to live like they have chosen the job as their vocation and profession.

I would like to add that supporting new teachers, reducing workload in order to increase the opportunity to breathe and work more efficiently, and the ever-increasing integration of technology into classroom practices are objectives that we must pursue together.

There is a concern that does not find us unprepared and is reflected in the survey that some of the new teachers report that they may leave the profession if they do not feel sufficiently supported and motivated. This is a signal that we take very seriously.

The professional development, continuing education of teachers, and their systematic participation in training to improve quality is an objective that is also confirmed by the survey.

We are aware of this," Rama said./ CNA
