Constitutional Court Decision/Boçi: Does not affect the candidate

Democratic MP, Luçiano Boçi, stated today that today's decision given by the Constitutional Court does not affect the opposition-supported candidate for the Municipality of Tirana, Florjan Binaj.

Invited to 'Syri Tv', Boçi emphasized that this position was also expressed by the leader of the Democrat Party, Sali Berisha.

Boçi said that this decision gives the opposition more time to campaign.  

"We have to wait for what the Constitutional Court will present on October 31st and everything will be clarified regarding having a date. From my experience, November 9th seems impossible for Tirana. Suspending the date also means suspending the date of the election campaign."

Making a decision on October 31st dictates that after this date there should be a new 30-day postponement period for the campaign for the new date.
