Binaj for Tirana/ Teliti: Rotation possible in Tirana

Deputy Mayor of the Municipal Council Dorjan Teliti has stated that rotation in Tirana is possible.

Teliti said that the DP has made its position on the model clear and this was supported by all opposition parties.

According to him, the patronage machinery will prove dysfunctional this time.

"Regarding the elections for Tirana, the Democratic Party has made its position clear, this time we were for the model of opposition unity and in fact if you look at it, except for one factor, the entire opposition factor is united around the independent candidate.

It was a request from other parties as well, it was a request from many citizens who said 'try other figures'. The moment has come, this is the moment to show all of ourselves, both the voting citizens, the independent candidate Flor Binaj, and the opposition politicians who support candidate Binaj to show that rotation is possible and that the patronage machinery this time will turn out to be non-functional.

For me, the concern is not simply Veliaj's departure, but his departure once and for all. So, not for Veliaj to go to the administrative court tomorrow for procedural aspects, to tell them that you did not call me to the Municipal Council.

The procedure was not respected and, as is known in Albania, when the legal basis is addressed, it is addressed both for content and form.

We have seen criminals in Albania who have gained freedom due to procedural shortcomings, even though they were all guilty of committing one or more criminal acts.
