The People's Advocate, like the majority, is leaving Klotilda Bushka's close friend in office indefinitely

The majority seems uninterested in electing the Ombudsman. Erinda Ballanca has been in office for 8 years, of which 3 years she has secured with allowances pending replacement.

The replacement procedures have formally been opened and reopened 3 times, but the majority in all cases has been more interested in burning Rama's preferred candidates from within than in replacing Ballanca.

In 2022, when the procedures for selecting a new lawyer first began, Klotilda Bushka was the chairwoman of the Laws Committee.

The wiretaps in the Veliaj case also revealed Bushka's unsolicited use of Ballance's office. His friend's stay in that office was more important to Bushka than the parliamentary process.

The Parliamentary Group was ordered to distance itself from providing support with signatures, presumably in the name of a negotiation that was unknown where, how, on whose behalf and for whom it was being conducted.

In a game between the pieces of the DP, the majority was making fun of the Assembly's constitutional obligation to renew the People's Advocate by vote.

Amidst total irresponsibility, the only ones we won were the Bushka-Balanca friends.

Foot over foot, Bushka assured Ballanca that if she were, Balanca could stay in that office for another 10 years.

And while Ballanca enjoyed true friendship, the candidates mocked each other live in quasi-hearing sessions that were not followed by the continuation of the parliamentary process.

In the end, Edi Rama voted down the candidate negotiated for 6 months between Balla and Alibeaj. Neither of them regretted the sacrifice they made.

The Assembly waited for some time and reopened the procedures for the possible replacement of Ballance, while comrade Bushka was still "copy-pasting" things.

Gazi had now officially become Berisha's and was more motivated than ever to appear as a knight of Berishaism.

Meanwhile, Berisha publicly insisted on appearing as a supporter of Besim Ndregjoni, the only candidate for whom the majority had expressed rejection.

The friends were calm. Nothing could happen.

Today we are faced with the same comedy!

The majority pretends to await the opposition's proposals and declares that it does not support any candidate with signatures.

A strange strategy that doesn't explain in the slightest why you refuse to sign someone you're willing to vote for!

And then why fill the ears of the office listeners with the name of Rama's favorite, when he refuses to sign supporting documents at least for him?

In this tactic, neither legal nor political, no one can even understand what the criteria that the majority prefers. How does the majority love the People's Advocate? Does it love it like Ballanca or does it simply love Ballanca?

Supporting them with signatures could make them appear more honorable than Berisha who signed for the arrested mortgage official.

They should have proven that much to us with the quality of the candidate they supported with their signatures. Beyond that, they didn't have to worry or feel complex.

They could take an example from Berisha.

So far, in these 3 beginnings of the procedures for the election of the People's Advocate, Berisha has left the signatures of his group free.

Over 25 candidates have so far enjoyed those signatures, including Endri Shabani, who today whispers about him as Rama's favorite.

But no one was happy with the vote./ CNA
