"I had debates with Salianji"/ Minister Gogu: I am not worried about democracy within the SP

Minister of State for Relations with Parliament, Toni Gogu, spoke today regarding one of the latest developments within the Democratic Party.

In a statement to journalists, Gogu said that he had debates with democrat Ervin Salianji, while sharing his personal opinion that debates on such an issue belong only to the DP and not to the government.

Regarding the situation among the Socialists, Gogu humorously expressed that he is not concerned about the internal democracy of the Socialist Party.

"I had debates with Salianji and as a participant in the December 8 protests I support him. And it is to be respected. And when a member listens to the membership it is better. These issues belong to the DP and not the government, this is my personal opinion. Citizens should express their problems. At the moment in the SP I am not worried about internal democracy. It is the facts that make us move forward with this mandate and we will do everything possible within this mandate for the citizens. The minutes of the discussions in parliament, you will see that the opposition has never used its minutes for the issues for which it has requested interpellation. We are ready to debate the health, security, education of Albanians and it is maximum readiness", - said Gogu. /CNA
