The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, today focused on the situation of the DP, as this year marks four years since the 'Re-establishment' process.

In his speech at a press conference, Berisha said that that period witnessed the resurgence of the DP, not to be a pseudo-opposition in favor of Prime Minister Edi Rama, but a sovereign political force.

"This four-year-old, without exaggeration, is between legend and reality. A political force based on democratic principles, the ideals of freedom, sovereignty to be a sovereign political force. We were attacked by the Albanian and foreign mafia in the most unscrupulous way. What happened had only one goal, First, a party controlled by Edi Ram. Second, the disappearance of the DP with mechanisms. Is that so or not? So, under the conditions of the narco-state, they wanted Albania not to have a real opposition voice, but a pseudo-opposition and a puppet of Rama. They plunged the DP into the deepest isolation. Is that the truth? But this party rose like a phoenix from the ashes, solely for the truths it defended, in a span of a few months and all the center-right parties in the world have signed in full support for the DP and have denounced the farce of the regime, the persecution and the Albanian narco-state with capital letters, together with Edi Rama.
