20 cities under surveillance/ Rama presents the monitoring system

Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced that 20 cities will be monitored by cameras. According to Rama, the focus of the camera surveillance will be violators and road traffic.

Through monitoring rooms, real-time information will be provided about every event in cities equipped with cameras.

"There will be camera surveillance of cities with a focus on road traffic and violators. A system based on the latest digital security enriched with artificial intelligence that will provide real-time information through monitoring rooms in all cities that will have this system."

It will start with 20 cities. The system for national roads will soon be launched. It will allow every complaint of every citizen to be handled in real time. The system verifies not only with photographs, but also with the person, his name, surname and his entire file in terms of criminal records", said Rama.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Interior, Ervin Hoxha, said that the SmartCity initiative aims to identify the perpetrators of events in real time, thus enabling the increase of security parameters in urban areas, but also the prevention of lawlessness./ CNA
