Erion Braçe on the Now show with Erla Mehilli

Socialist MP, Erion Braçe, was invited to "Now" with Erla Mëhilli where he spoke to the media for the first time after Prime Minister Rama decided to remove him from Divjaka (Fier district) after 12 years and add his name to the "army" of socialists who will lead the capital's campaign.

-Report with Balluk.

When asked directly why he left that area right now that Belinda Balluku has become the political leader of the SP, the socialist "senator" replied:

"In 2013 I did not go with my people to Divjaka, others do and this is a very big mistake."

Mehili further asked Braca when was the last time he communicated with Balluk, and the latter admitted that they do not communicate together.

"I don't remember to tell the truth. It's been a while, but nothing was missing from my side. To tell the truth, I was one of the supporters of Balluku's movement from Dibra to Fier. Mrs. Balluku came and introduced herself with me in the territory of the Municipality of Divjaka, but that was it."

-Should Veliaj resign according to Braça?

Asked by Erla Mëhilli if a standard would be set for Veliaj to step down from his post while he is under investigation, Braçe stated:

"It is an individual matter that everyone judges for themselves in relation to the situation they are in and in relation to what they should do or continue to do."

-Answer to Arben Ahmetaj.

Brace was harsh with former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj, who, while on the run, has given several interviews in which he accused his former collaborators.

"I only think about how the agricultural VAT was broken, that's all... and I read the book "The Deceiver" by Javier Cercas.

-Tears for colleagues separated from life.

Asked about the old colleagues he misses the most, a tearful Braçe mentioned some of them.

"I miss those who are no longer alive. I'm talking about Dritëro Agolli, who would have been a great warrior who would have protected the people of the village. Luan Hajdaraga, Fred Paloka, Bashkim Fino, Dritan Çerma, Sabit Brokaj." (touched)

While among political opponents, Braçe praised Sokol Olldashi, Jozefina Topalli, Bamir Topi, Astrit Patoz or Majlinda Bregu, whom he said he missed debating in Parliament.

Braçe also praised Sali Berisha's persistence and strength, but said that this has sometimes gone badly because the former Prime Minister should have known how to contain himself, as in the case of January 21./ CNA
