"It is absurd to vote without an identification document"/ Diaspora

The head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Niko Peleshi, in his speech in parliament, emphasized that it is important for the Diaspora to vote en masse in the May 11 elections, but added that Albanians abroad cannot be allowed to vote without any identification document.

"Two words about the diaspora. We should not kill it before it is born. It is an initiative that has been negotiated by both sides in the CEC. It is a difficult exercise, but it is a right denied to immigrants for years.

"To ask to be accepted without any identification document is absurd. Stop finding reasons to blow up the vote of immigrants. We are convinced that we will win, and you also work to have this vote. This is democracy," said Peleshi. /CNA
