"It was not an easy race at all"/ Muçollari: We will not stop

The Democratic Party candidate for Tirana, Grigels Muçollari, through a status on social networks, thanked the voters who voted for him on May 11.

Muçollari writes that it was not an easy nor comfortable race for those who voted.

Muçollari describes the open list and the campaign as a fantastic experience.

Further, Muçollari writes that it will not be easy to work for change.

I have a heartfelt thank you to the thousands of citizens of the Tirana district who put their mark next to my name on the ballot, who trusted me in these elections. It was not an easy race at all, and it was not comfortable even for those who exercised their will, in a wild climate of blackmail, patronage, and vote buying.

A heartfelt thank you also goes to the hundreds of young men and women, democrats across Tirana, who accompanied me and shared their energy with me every day on this journey.

The open list battle and the campaign were a fantastic experience. I feel so enriched by the meetings, the contacts with people, the deep knowledge of the sad reality that is often kept hidden by propaganda.

I am encouraged today to continue on the path that should bring change. Without a doubt, as a young politician, I am irritated when I see that my country, in 2025, does not hold fair elections, and the government uses all the power and instruments it has to stop the free judgment of citizens. This is yet another reason to increase efforts for the Albania we deserve, with European values ??and standards.

We will not stop working for the change we need. But it is clear that this will only happen when we have free and fair elections./ CNA
