Although the resolution of the Socialist Party has exceeded the positions of Prime Minister Rama, regarding what happened in Banjska, on September 24, it is, if not shameful, completely insufficient to honor the Albanian state. The term "terrorist" is really used there, which the prime minister does not dare to pronounce, Rama's stance on the control of the north by KFOR has been softened, simply asking for the addition of international troops, but these are a negligible help to that part of nation, with whom we share the same aspirations.
And here it is not the business to get into our local quarrel between the revivalists and the non grata. Let's not even get into the internal bickering about who is more patriotic. There is a simple reference by which the face of Albania should be measured, whether it will be tarnished or not, by the resolution that the parliament will approve. This is the comparison of the text voted unanimously by the MPs of all parties in Pristina, with the draft that will be produced by their colleagues in Tirana. So far, what SP proposes deserves the term langaraqa. Perhaps knowing this, Rama's deputies are trying to hide behind absurd tricks, sometimes pushing the adoption of the resolution towards the second half of October and sometimes using the ridiculous alibi of the responsibility of a NATO country.
If you read both what the Kosovar parliament voted and what the socialists propose, the differences are essential, not only in language and spirit, but also in concepts. The first "condemns the terrorist attack organized by the Republic of Serbia". The second speaks of the actions of a "Serb terrorist unit". So one denounces state crime, the other talks about individuals. And the question arises: which version is closer to the truth? When you consider that the heavy weaponry belonged to the Serbian army, that the terrorists were trained there, that Belgrade pretended to arrest and then release Radoicic, in order not to extradite him, that Vucic himself appeared in public and defended him in front of everyone this criminal, for the above question there are no more dilemmas.
Then, why does the Socialist Party's position ignore this reality? Why don't they even dare to ask for "an international investigation of the Serbian state", as the deputies of the entire spectrum did in Pristina?
These dilemmas have only one answer. They are explained by the need of the socialist parliamentary group to have coherence with the personal attitudes of Edi Rama. Even when the three policemen were kidnapped and when the riots took place and for the clashes between the Serbs and KFOR in the north and when the Kurti government accompanied the elected mayors of the municipalities to the offices for the association and for the sanctions, Edi Rama, at best, has stayed between the two parties. The bet that he has placed on a long-term project with Vucic has often forced him to come out against Kosovo.
But in this case it is different. As much as his positions as prime minister have the weight of state decision-making, they can often be considered personal, in a country where institutions are dead and everything is decided by a single man. But at least formally, the resolution of a parliament is something else. It seals the country's attitude. It is done in the name of all Albanians. Therefore, the least thing that should be considered, in this case, is Edi Rama's concern not to burden Vucic.
The Socialist Party is condemned to act in the same line as the main political forces in Kosovo, to point the finger at the Serbian state and to demand an international investigation against it. Any different attitude would turn the stain that Rama has personally taken on, into collective guilt. The SP cannot become Vucic's washing machine because in this case, by imposing a neutral resolution on the assembly as a majority, it would blacken us all.
