Political crooks and paid clerks

Political crooks and paid clerks

Theaters used to have "clerks," or paid applause.

People sitting in the front rows and scattered throughout the hall, clapping on command, laughing compulsively, and bringing the audience to their feet even when the performance was mediocre.
They were part of the artistic deception. The audience had to be convinced that they were seeing a masterpiece, even when there was only noise and vanity on stage.

Today, the theaters have been emptied of clerks.
Clerks have moved into politics.

Parties have become the biggest stages of fake applause. There you will find crowds cheering the leader before he speaks, applauding him before they think, defending him even when he embarrasses himself, glorifying him even when he breaks his silence.

It doesn't matter what he says. It's enough for the "leader" to say it. Just like in the theaters of old when applause was not a reaction, but a duty.
At every party meeting you see tired faces that shout "victory" even after defeat; that call every failure "historical"; "visionary" every delusion, every deception and lie of the "absolute truth".

Today's clerks are not always paid with money. Some are paid with jobs, some with promises, some with a photo next to the mayor, and many others with the illusion that one day a bone will fall from the table of power.

The most tragic thing is that these people applaud the cult.
They are idolaters. Sometimes we even call them "suffragists."

They do not defend ideas, but fanatically party owners. They do not react as citizens, but as politically neutered fans. They do not defend and argue opinions, they simply curse and anathematize opinions different from those of the leader. And the weaker the leader, the more hysterical the applause becomes. Because the klerkler has only one task: to cover up with noise, curses and insults; lies, deceptions, chronic losses.

That's why Albanian politics is so much like a bad theater. Not only from the actors or spectators, but also from the applauders.

A con artist on stage would never survive without the crowd of those who applaud even when the curtain has long since fallen.

A crook in politics wouldn't survive without the klerklers who manipulate idiots!
