Dy fjalë për ministrin e ri të Mbrojtjes, Pirro Vëngun
Ardit Bido

I have never commented for good or bad on ministers, nor will I do so today. Pirro Vengu is my friend and I don't deny it, but that's not the motivation either; the impetus is the organized attack of Greek political nationalism against him, precisely because he has committed several acts, as far as I know, in the Albanian national interest against the interest of Greek political nationalism.

1. Is the new Minister of Defense Greek?

Pirro Vengu comes from two villages of Albanian origin in Dropulli: Frashtani and Llugari. Today, these villages have been Greekized, a process that started early and ended in the 60s; non-political process that I have explained at length in my books. The Vengu family has a distant origin from Suli i Çamërija, later settled in the Albanian villages of Llugar and Frashtan and from the 20s in Vlorë, Durrës and Tirana. The Vengu family has been a promoter of Albanian nationalism. Pirro had Albanian nationality and this country has records of this, from an Albanian father from Llugari and Frashtani and from a minority mother from other villages of that province.

Two problems arise here. First, it would be an honor for this country to have minority defense ministers like Vasil Mesopotamia and friends; who have worked for Albania more than most of our compatriots. Secondly, the attempt to make Pirro of Greek nationality, when he is clearly Albanian, is in the continuation of the efforts to make Frashtan, Llugar, Koshovica, Peca, Muzina and Sopiku, the six Orthodox Albanian villages of the minority area, Greek in origin.

We have also seen this "scheme" with the Albanian Pejo Kiço Mustaqi, who just needs a search and comes out as "Greek" from our frivolous media, when he always declared himself Albanian. The intervention of Greek political nationalism in the Albanian media to portray Mustaq or Vengu as Greeks has nothing to do with them; it has to do with the tendency to single out the above six villages as Greek, to say that there are no Orthodox Albanians in the area of ??Dropulli and Finiq. The anti-Albanian thesis is so obvious.

2. Has Minister Vengu committed the Greek army?

Here comes the ugliest game I saw today that I wouldn't write without. Minister Vengu has lived in Greece, like over a million Albanians, and has received citizenship like 800,000 Albanians. During his work as chief of staff of the Foreign Minister of Albania, at the height of the Albanian-Greek crisis in 2015, after the Albanian side had committed several patriotic acts (which unfortunately were later reversed), suddenly the source of the political nationalism of the bureaucracy Greek, appears in the "Albanian" media, the letter received by each of the 800 thousand Albanians who have also received Greek citizenship, that of the call for soldiers. Without wanting to go into things that I know very well, I pretend that I don't know for the sake of the argument, about Vengu's work as an Albanian patriot who has hurt the other party, I am raising a rhetorical question: have you seen another letter of 800 thousand Albanians who also have Greek citizenship appeared in the media, including MPs or mayoral candidates? Is this letter with the sponsorship of the Greek state circles in the Albanian media, at the time when Vengu has excelled (I say this with the conviction of the information I have) in the defense of the national interest against Greece and at the same time a few days before the scandal broke that Greece financed the Albanian media, was it done to make the "opponent" dirty? And since the rhetorical questions are not enough for me, I am simplifying it with demonstrative sentences: who today maintains the thesis thrown to smear an Albanian official who refused to work for Greece and worked for the Albanian national interest, is serving the disinformation that the services of the neighboring country do in our public life. And for anyone who doesn't know: no, Pyrrhus did not lead the Greek army because at that time he was dealing with the protection of Albania's interests.

3. Two final words

I don't know if Minister Vengu will be a good minister or not. I happen to know firsthand that he has performed some services for the national benefit and that he is a patriot and a worker. Although if he was a minority it would not be a priori something bad, the fact that he is tried to be taken out of the disinformation as a minority when he is Albanian, serves as in the case of Kiço Mustaq to increase the rhetoric of "Vorio Epiri" for the six villages Orthodox Albanian within Dropulli and Finiq.

Because "Vorio Epiri" cannot accept that there are Orthodox Albanian villages among the minority. Finally, the fact that today the disinformation of the neighboring services that hit him in 2015 with a letter published in the media that funded only that minister Vengu did some work for the benefit of our national interest, shows that the propaganda of Greek political nationalism is flying in the sky today. we drink water.

Today, I don't know if my friends Flavio Qarri, Bledian Koka, the pages I sometimes follow ?erciz Topulli Lajme Patriotice, JOQ Albania, etc. have acted because they don't know, or if they want to, knowingly or unknowingly play the game of to the Greek service, but as someone who every time I speak about these issues "sprout like mushrooms" defamation news against me without any basis of truth, that in this country the Greek services have a free and productive ground for them in the Albanian media against the Albanian national interest. / CNA
