"à la carte" democracy of DP

"à la carte" democracy of DP
The headquarters of the DP

I believe you remember a few years ago when mobile phones started to have a wider spread, several payment programs came out, first from Vodafone, "a la carte". These programs included national and international calls, messages and internet within one payment, which had no duration.

This term is French, borrowed from gastronomy and means "according to the menu". When looking at a regular restaurant menu you will usually see prices quoted à la carte. In other words, each item will have a price associated with it, and you can choose the items you want to order. You will be charged for each item you select based on the price of that item. But, sometimes a restaurant will offer an à la carte menu, you can eat, and no matter what you eat, or how much, you will pay a certain price.

This term was soon borrowed by politics, especially by Albanian political parties.

While one of the big problems that the Democratic Party had and continues to have and will not be able to overcome, even though it has historically been questioned, is the ownership perception of Democracy. Democracy, democratic rules in general and legal procedures are not what the majority recognize and accept, but what are monolithically expressed only by the DP and its leadership

Because only they have the monopoly of Democracy. And they do not tolerate either asking or expressing another opinion, because they and only they know the democratic truth.

Nobody else. That's all they accept. Beyond that nothing! And if this concept reminds you of anything, it is the communist mentality and belief in absolute social, political and economic truth.

The self-reference of a part of the "right" in time does not allow it to ascertain what opinion others have about Democracy. But democracy a la carte does not exist. No one has a monopoly on Dedmocracy and Truth. And a key factor of Democracy is respect for the rules in force, equal recognition of the opponent, tolerance and acceptance when someone is in the minority, the legitimacy of different opinion.

For DP, the concept of democracy is relative and not absolute. For PD, "democracy" exists only for itself! PD cannot admit that it has a different opinion. Because if it accepts it, its democracy will be easily deconstructed and its implementation will be limited, as it is malleable and fragile.

Therefore even today the most open, the most united, the strongest maintained the status quo of the old electoral reform 1/3 closed, 2/3 open.

And this agreement today leaves PD again in the opposition, gives a maximum of 35-40 mandates to the Balkanists, demolishes all that has been trumpeted as innovation, primaries, meritocracy and internal democracy, listening to the voice of the democrats and giving value voters in internal processes!

It also reinforces division by dividing society by opening a gap that will take time and effort to close./ CNA
