Policeman killed in Kosovo

A police officer has died in Kaçanik after being found seriously injured at the entrance to his building on Tuesday around 11:00 PM.

Kosovo media reports that he was transported to the Medical Center in Kaçanik, but did not survive his injuries.

"On 01.04.2025, at around 23:00, we received information that a person was injured and is in serious condition at the entrance to his building, on 'Idriz Seferi' street in Kaçanik. The victim is a member of the Kosovo Police. In addition to police units, the Kaçanik emergency team also arrived at the scene, who transported him to the Kaçanik Medical Center. As a result of the injuries received, the police member died, this was ascertained by the doctors at this center. The state prosecutor and the IPK have been notified of all police actions. Regional investigators and forensic experts have arrived at the scene to conduct the necessary examinations. The causes of this incident are still unknown," said police spokesman Kanun Veseli./ CNA
