Record heatwave in Great Britain

The UK is experiencing its third heatwave of the year, with temperatures reaching up to 33°C in Ross on Uye on Saturday afternoon.

Scotland has recorded its hottest day of the year at 32°C, while Northern Ireland has experienced its hottest day in three years. The extreme heat has led to warnings of major wildfires in Scotland.

Several events have been cancelled, including the women's final at Wimbledon, where fans braved scorching temperatures. Dangerous heat warnings are still in place in southern England, with temperatures exceeding 32°C in the Midlands and South Wales.

Meanwhile, travel has been rescheduled, including the cancellation of trains to Cardiff, and some running events have been postponed due to the hot conditions. Firefighters in Perth are battling a wildfire threatening the surrounding hills.
