Përmbytjet shkatërruese në Teksas/ Trump niset për të inspektuar zonën

Presidenti amerikan Donald Trump dhe Zonja e Parë Melania Trump do të vizitojnë sot Teksasin për të parë dëmet nga përmbytjet shkatërruese të javës së kaluar. Presidenti pritet të takohet me zyrtarë shtetërorë dhe lokalë, ekipet e ndihmës së shpejtë dhe familjet e viktimave, midis të cilëve janë të paktën 120 të vdekur.

Presidenti Trump pritet të vizitojë Qarkun Kerr, Teksas për të parë dëmet nga përmbytjet katastrofike të javës së kaluar dhe për të marrë përditësime nga zyrtarët lokalë.

Ndërsa administrata Trump nuk po tërhiqet nga premtimet e saj për të mbyllur Agjencinë Federale të Menaxhimit të Emergjencave (FEMA), ajo e ka zvogëluar fokusin e saj në këtë temë që nga katastrofa e 4 korrikut.

Presidenti pritet të bëjë një turne ajror në disa nga zonat më të goditura, sipas Associated Press. Shtëpia e Bardhë tha gjithashtu se ai do të vizitojë qendrën shtetërore të operacioneve të emergjencës për t'u takuar me ndihmësit e parë dhe të afërmit e viktimave të përmbytjeve.

Trump do të marrë gjithashtu një takim informues nga zyrtarët. Guvernatori republikan Greg Abbott, senatori John Cornyn dhe senatori Ted Cruz pritet të shkojnë në vizitë./CNA
