The three Albanians appear in court for possession of cocaine worth 4 million euros in Cork

Three young Albanians have held the first special hearing in the District Court in Cork on Sunday evening.

They are accused of possessing 60 kilograms of cocaine worth 4 million euros. The three Albanians are Gentjan Dodaj, Donatel Dodaj and Daniel Afedoaei.

None of the three youths spoke in the courtroom when warned about the alleged offences.

Donatel Dodaj, 39, is being held in custody pending his next court appearance on Monday, August 14. He was wearing a black T-shirt and trousers and did not speak during the hearing. Judge Treasa Kelly granted free legal aid to Gentjan Dodaj after learning he had been in the process of opening a business. An interpreter was also requested to assist Donatel Dodaj. He was granted free legal aid and remanded in custody.

Next Monday, they are expected to appear before the court again./ CNA
