Albania and Macedonia are the main partners: Where and what did Kosovo export

Albania and North Macedonia remain the two most important trading partners for Kosovo, covering the majority of exports. The total value of exports was over 110 million euros.

Kosovo has concluded 2025 with a stable performance in the field of exports, proving that local producers are increasingly gaining ground in regional and European markets.

According to official Kosovo Customs statistics for the period January–November 2025, Albania and North Macedonia are the country's two main trading partners, absorbing almost half of Kosovo's total exports.

The increase in exchanges with these two countries, but also with Turkey and several European Union countries, shows that Kosovo's economy is entering a more consolidated phase of production and international competition.

According to this data, during the period January-November 2025, the total value of Kosovo's exports was over 110 million euros (excluding December).

These figures show that regional markets, in particular Albania and North Macedonia, constitute the main base of Kosovo's exports, while a significant portion is also directed to European Union countries and Turkey.

The data confirm that soft drinks, mineral water and beer are the main pillars of Kosovo's exports, reflecting the sustainable development of the country's beverage industry. In addition, textiles, construction and industrial packaging remain important complementary sectors in the overall production and export structure.

Overall, Kosovo's exports during 2025 are mainly oriented towards regional markets, with an increasingly stable presence in European Union countries.

But imports have also been quite high in the past year, and Kosovo's trade deficit has even reached 469.9 million euros in November 2025, marking an increase of 4.8 percent compared to the same period last year.

According to the Kosovo Agency of Statistics, exports covered imports by 15.7%. The value of exports of goods in November 2025 was 87.7 million euros, while imports amounted to 557.6 million euros.

Compared to a year ago, exports decreased by 9.5%, while imports fell by 1.6%.

In the structure of exports, the largest share was held by base metals and their articles with 20.3%, followed by mineral products (15.4%), plastics and rubber (11.2%), prepared foods, beverages and tobacco (11.1%), and various manufactured articles (10.2%).

Meanwhile, imports were dominated by machinery, mechanical and electrical equipment with 13.3%, prepared foods, beverages and tobacco with 13.1%, mineral products with 13.0% and means of transport with 12.4%./ Monitor.
