Osmani: 2025 was a challenging year, the goal for 2026 is a safe Kosovo, where
President Vjosa Osmani has congratulated the New Year 2026. Osmani states that 2025 was not an easy year, as there were delays in the establishment of institutions.

" Today, Kosovo concluded a not easy year, but a year in which its voice was heard strongly and our stance in the international arena was principled and unwavering. It was a challenging year, especially with the delays in establishing institutions, but it was also a year that has strengthened us and prepared us to move forward with more confidence and more responsibility ," Osman's congratulatory message reads.

President Osmani states that Kosovo in 2025 stood strong in the face of provocations and destabilizing efforts and created a more just society.

" On this night of the change of years, as we close a year filled with work, important decisions, but also with challenges, we pause to reflect on the path we have traveled together and on the strength we have shown as a state and as a society.

The year we are leaving behind has proven that Kosovo moves forward when it acts with determination, values ??and unity. It has been a year in which we have further strengthened the international position of our country, defended the constitutional order and state interest, and a year in which we have continued to work to strengthen our alliances with our strategic partners. Kosovo has shown that it is present, heard and respected at international tables, as a factor of peace, stability and trust.

Kosovo stood firm against any destabilizing efforts, while internally it continues to build a more just society, where human rights, equality, and dignity are our common foundation.

It was also a year that demonstrated the strength of democracy and our citizens: workers, police and military personnel, teachers, doctors, young people full of innovative ideas, our extraordinary women and girls, as well as our diaspora, which continues to be an irreplaceable pillar of Kosovo's development and representation in the world.

For Osmani, the challenge in 2026 remains increasing the well-being of Kosovo citizens, young people, security, and strengthening the rule of law.

The coming year 2026 finds us with new responsibilities and clear goals. Our goal remains an even safer, even fairer, even more integrated and even more developed Kosovo. A Kosovo where the law is applied equally to all, where institutions are always at the service of citizens and where every young man and woman has the prospect of building a future with dignity in their own country.
In the New Year, our commitment will continue unwaveringly to the continuous strengthening of the rule of law, the advancement of our country's international position, increasing security, supporting families, supporting youth, as well as building a future with more economic development and well-being.
On this special night, I wish you health, peace and prosperity. May the year 2026 be a year of cooperation, responsibility and success for each of you and for our Republic.

Let's start the new year with faith in ourselves, in each other, and in our Kosovo.
