Scandal in Italy/ Moderator Alfonso Signorini under investigation for sexual

Italian moderator Alfonso Signorini is under investigation, as the Milan prosecutor's office has registered the journalist and TV presenter for suspected crimes of sexual assault and extortion.

This formal action by the prosecutor, led by prosecutor Alessandro Gobbis and deputy prosecutor Letizia Mannella, follows a complaint filed on Christmas Eve by former reality show contestant Antonio Medugno. Medugno was, in fact, the first to support the system first publicly denounced by Fabrizio Corona: sexual demands and favors in exchange for appearing on the show.

Just yesterday, Signorini announced that he had been suspended by Mediaset due to accusations made by Fabrizio Corona himself during an episode of Falsissimo, his YouTube gossip show. His lawyers announced the decision, claiming that it was taken "as a precautionary measure". A step back that the company has announced that it has accepted, as reported by the Italian daily "La Repubblica". 

Following the controversy raised by Corona in recent days, and apparently in light of the legal process that awaits him, the presenter has changed his defense lawyers, increasing the risks. He is now represented by two prominent lawyers, Daniela Missaglia and Domenico Aiello.

Missaglia is among the most experienced family and personal law lawyers, and, having helped Nina Moric in her separation from ex-husband Fabrizio Corona, she already knows her opponent. She has also handled other celebrity splits, such as those between Stefano Ricucci and Anna Falchi and Gigi Buffon and Alena Seredova./CNA
