Reuters: Houthis' involvement opens new war front in Middle East

If they attack ships, shipping prices increase and the supply of oil and goods is affected.

The Houthis could launch symbolic attacks with missiles, drones, or they could move towards a gradual escalation. This would allow them to help Iran without risking total destruction in Yemen.
