US President Donald Trump announced this Thursday that he extended the suspension of attacks on Iranian energy infrastructure until April 6.
The president said on the 'Truth Social' platform that he is extending the suspension at the request of the Iranian government, while adding that talks with Iran are going very well.
Trump had previously announced a five-day suspension of attacks on Iran's energy infrastructure on Monday, which was set to expire on Saturday.
"At the request of the Iranian Government, please allow this statement to serve as a representation that I am suspending the period of destruction of the power plants for 10 days until Monday, April 6, 2026, at 8:00 PM Eastern Time," he wrote. "Negotiations are ongoing and, despite false statements to the contrary by the Fake News Media and others, they are going very well. Thank you for your attention to this matter!" Trump announced./CNA
