 "Despite the war in Iran, we must not leave Ukraine alone"/

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer welcomed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Downing Street, delivering a stark message that global attention should not be diverted from Ukraine, despite the escalation of the conflict between Israel and Iran. During the meeting, Starmer warned that Vladimir Putin should not be allowed to take advantage of the situation in the Middle East to ease sanctions or exploit rising oil prices.

This meeting culminated in a new defense partnership for the joint production of attack drones and military technologies, combining Ukraine's battlefield experience with British industrial power.

In addition to industrial cooperation, London has announced funding for a £500,000 artificial intelligence centre in Kiev, calling the technology a key element of modern warfare. President Zelensky, who also visited King Charles III at Buckingham Palace, thanked Britain for its unwavering support and stressed the importance of putting pressure on Russia at a time when tensions in the Middle East risk distracting Western allies.

Zelensky's diplomatic tour of Europe is aimed precisely at preserving unity and strengthening defenses against air attacks at a critical moment for global security.
