"We don't need anyone" / Trump "explodes" at NATO

US President Donald Trump has reacted on Truth Social regarding the stance of NATO allies towards operations in the Middle East, emphasizing that most of them do not want to be involved in military actions against Iran.

In his response, Trump said that despite the verbal support that many countries have given for the American position on Iran and opposition to nuclear weapons, they have chosen to stay out of concrete operations in the region. He added that this approach is not surprising, since according to him, the relationship with NATO allies has often been "one-sided."

The US president stressed that the US has borne the main burden of defense for allied countries, while at key moments it has not received the expected support. He also stated that, thanks to the success of operations in the Middle East, the US no longer needs the help of allies.

Trump underlined that the military power of the United States remains decisive and that the country, according to him, is able to act alone without international support, describing the US as the most powerful country in the world.

Trump's reaction

The United States has been informed by most of our NATO “allies” that they do not want to be involved in our military operation against the terrorist regime of Iran in the Middle East, despite the fact that almost every country strongly agrees with what we are doing and that Iran should not be allowed, in any way, shape or form, to have nuclear weapons. I am not surprised by their action, because I have always considered NATO, where we spend hundreds of billions of dollars a year to defend these countries, to be a one-way street — we defend them, but they do nothing for us, especially in times of need.

Fortunately, we have destroyed Iran’s military — their navy is gone, their air force is gone, their air defenses and radars are gone, and perhaps most importantly, their leadership, at almost every level, is gone, no longer posing a threat to us, our allies in the Middle East, or the world! Because of this great military success, we no longer “need” or desire the help of NATO countries — WE NEVER HAVE! Neither do Japan, Australia, or South Korea. In fact, speaking as the President of the United States of America, the most powerful country in the world, WE DON’T NEED ANYONE’S HELP! Thank you for your attention to this issue.
