Lifting sanctions/ Osmani: Kosovo remains committed to working closely with the

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has reacted to the EU's decision to lift sanctions today.

In his response, Osmani thanks the European Commission and all of Kosovo's European partners for concluding this agreement.

Further, in her reaction, Osmani states that Kosovo remains committed to cooperating closely with the European Union.

Based on the decision announced in December by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, to lift all EU measures against Kosovo, following the EU-Western Balkans Summit, we welcome today's confirmation from the Commission that this decision has now been fully implemented.

I thank the Commission and all our partners from the Member States for their support in concluding this case, which led to the lifting of unjust measures that negatively affected the lives of Kosovo citizens.

Kosovo remains committed to working closely with the EU and moving forward on its path towards candidate country status in the European Union.
