Two dead in shooting at Toronto festival

Two people have been killed and four others injured in a shooting at a salsa festival in Toronto, Canada.

According to Toronto Police, the incident occurred in the area of ??St. Clair Avenue, where the annual "Salsa on St. Clair" festival was taking place.

Authorities said the shooting occurred after an exchange of gunfire between two people, and two firearms were seized at the scene.

At the time of the incident, there were about 13,000 people at the festival. Police have set up three crime scenes and are continuing their investigation, but no arrests have been made so far.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney described the incident as shocking and expressed condolences to the families of the victims.

Meanwhile, Ontario Premier Doug Ford condemned the violence and demanded that the perpetrators be brought to justice.

The "Salsa in St. Clair" festival, which this year held its 22nd edition, is one of the largest Latin cultural events in Toronto and attracts thousands of visitors every year./ CNA
