Suicide attack kills 12 in Islamabad/ Pakistan accuses India

A suicide attack outside a court in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, has killed 12 people and injured 27.

Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said the suicide bomber was planning to attack the courthouse but was unable to enter.

Naqvi said authorities would prioritize identifying the perpetrator of the attack and that those involved would be brought to justice.

The attacker placed the bomb next to a police car after waiting for up to 15 minutes.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said extremist groups actively supported by India were involved in the attack.

In a statement, he said that terrorist attacks on unarmed Pakistani citizens by Indian terrorist proxies are condemnable. Delhi has not responded to the allegations./ CNA
