Hill testifies in The Hague/Tells about first meeting with Hashim Thaçi

Former US special envoy during the Kosovo war, Christopher Hill, is testifying in The Hague in defense of former President Hashim Thaçi. During his testimony, he also spoke about his first meeting with Thaçi in 1998.

"I got the impression that he was more for a university environment than a military environment," Hill said, according to REL.

Asked if he had the impression that Thaçi was the person who controlled the KLA, Hill said that there was no basis for such a thing.

"He was among the three people who came, whom I met. But I didn't get the impression that he was a person who was in control of this large organization, or who was running it. There was no basis for that," he testified. /CNA
