Lumir Abdixhiku: LDK declares victory in 5 municipalities

The leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku, appeared at a press conference accompanied by the candidate for Pristina, Përparim Rama. Abdixhiku said that the LDK has declared victory in the municipalities of Pristina, Peja, Viti, Dragash and Junik.

He further added that in these elections no citizen should feel like a loser, while emphasizing that governing for the LDK is a responsibility and not a privilege.

"Tonight we declare victory in Peja, Viti, Dragash, Junik. Tonight LDK wins in 5 municipalities. It also won in Pristina. We won the first round in Lipjan and Istog, bringing the total number of municipalities where it leads to 7. I want to address with gratitude each of our activists, who have become part of this journey, leaving aside everything that is their own. Today's victory is your victory and the result of your work. I want to tell you that democracy and Kosovo are for everyone. No citizen should feel like a loser. LDK does not recognize divided citizens, it only recognizes citizens of Kosovo. For us, governance is a responsibility and not a privilege. It is a duty to build and walk together, even with those who do not think like us. Tonight the victory belongs to everyone. Citizens do not need heroism but work. Tonight Kosovo has taken a step forward towards normality ," said Abdixhiku. /CNA
