Incinerators have devoured hundreds of millions of euros in taxes from poor Albanians.

An affair that begins in Elbasan, where we simply have an oil boiler, extends to Fier with an incinerator that has not been completed and has not been put into operation, and ends in Tirana, where the incinerator simply does not exist and the capital is on the verge of a catastrophe.

The biggest affair is that of the Tirana incinerator, as we have an investment of hundreds of millions of euros, but the incinerator does not exist, it is simply a large pit that is on the verge of a catastrophe.

The investigation file of this affair is in the hands of a prosecutor who has chosen to sleep on the incinerators' file, Dritan Prençi.

Despite having the facts, evidence, documents, and even the denunciations from the opposition before his eyes, Dritan Prençi continues to drag this file.

Regarding the Tirana incinerator affair, we do not have a single charge against the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, who is in Durrës prison on 13 charges of serious criminal offenses, implicated in this affair.

For this reason, we have shown prosecutor Dritan Prençi, with facts and evidence, the involvement of Erion Veliaj in the Tirana incinerator affair.

The first document is the one that is returned to Alqi Bllako and Lefter Koka by Erion Veliaj, who agrees with the price of 29 euros/ton for waste.

The second document is 60 million euros for the land, a document that is again signed by Erion Veliaj's directors and brings about 60 million euros into the company's pockets, other money that is paid by the business, but is actually billed to citizens as costs for purchasing apartments or various works that are being carried out.

An agreement can be signed between the company and the mayor, but in this case, Erioni did not sign it himself, he had his subordinates sign it, who also used the seal of the Municipality of Tirana.

But prosecutor Dritan Prençi will not see these documents and facts, which would at least lead to an indictment for the arrested mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.

Prençi operates with double standards. In the "Balluku" case, where he briefly found abuse of office, in the incinerator case he has yet to find corruption or abuse of office by the mayor.

In this case, the corruption is proven and the structured criminal group, but Erion Veliaj's abuse cannot be found. These are the two standards of Dritan Prenç, who, more than a prosecutor who has the Tirana incinerator file in his hands, is behaving like a lawyer in this affair.

But one thing we must emphasize, the incinerators are not forgotten and Dritan Prençi cannot close that file without going to Erion Veliaj./ CNA
