What does Erion Veliaj want from SPAK prosecutors?

It has been almost a year since SPAK prosecutors and GJKKO judges have been under constant attack by Erion Veliaj. Whenever there are cases at all levels, from the first to the Supreme or Constitutional Court, the media attacks and intimidation begin.

Writings, commissioned articles, positions, opinions that are sponsored, supported, sometimes with payment, sometimes not, with a single purpose.

In the end, they are taken and used as reports to be used in lobbying, as happened with the disclosure of data by the US Department of Justice where it was discovered that Erion Veliaj, through his brother, had paid 220 thousand dollars to lobby.

And there were also lies and deceptions within, such as the case where Ols Dado had requested an additional building permit that was never published for 173 days by the mayor, along with his refusal, or the fact that the same prosecutor had been an active member of the Democratic Party.

Another deception, this one done, of course, on purpose, in the Department of Justice to link it to the "non grata" Sali Berisha.

In fact, the truth is very simple to read.

Erion Veliaj is asking for two things from the prosecutors and everyone now knows this clearly. On Sunday, a hearing was held to change the security measure requested by Erion Veliaj, but in his media and opinions written by his people and those paid by him, it is said that the prosecutors are keeping him in prison with the argument that he has American lawyers.

In fact, CNA broke down the scheme and even released the minutes, analyzing exactly what Veliaj's media had released, and this sentence was nowhere to be found.

On the contrary, they had taken it and taken it completely out of context, or used another expression that had to do simply with lobbying and not with the presence of American lawyers.

But what was he really looking for?

Erion Veliaj requested a change in his security measure. His media outlets say that his prison term is being extended due to the prosecutors' claim about the American lawyers, but in fact they have not requested an extension of Erion Veliaj's detention. On the contrary, Erion Veliaj requested a change in his security measure and the lawyers have gone and expressed their positions and said that nothing has changed.

This man continues to intimidate the justice system and has done so through lobbying in the US where he has lied. That's what prosecutors have said.

But apparently, Erion Veliaj wants the prosecutors to be silent, so when they go to a court session and Erion asks for the security measure to be changed, the prosecutors should say "lepe-peqe, order, as the president orders". And the court should say "order, as you order, long live Erion Veliaj, long live Rilindja, long live the 99-chat".

This is what the judge and prosecutor should do, according to what Veliaj's media are saying. That's why they are attacked, as happened with Erion Bani, as happened with Engert Pëllumbi, as happened with "Ols Dadon", that's why they are accused, that's why there are attacks again, that's why there are deceptions and lies again so that the prosecutors say "fuck you", the court says "fuck you", Erion should go home, he's a good boy, and they even shout "long live the party, long live Rilindja" because Erion has the votes.

But the votes of the residents of Tirana did not give him to be caught stealing, but to lead the municipality. The moment he is caught stealing and suspected of being so, he is brought to justice. Erion Veliaj wants there to be no justice.

Beyond the positions and claims of his media cronies, Erion Veliaj seeks, through media attacks and popular trials with the corrupt government media, to silence prosecutors and judges, and for him to gain freedom.

Or they bow their heads and follow, because Erion Veliaj goes to the Department of Justice, he has his brother's money, the advertising companies that pay his brother, the profits that he then uses to lobby, and these are companies that have benefited from hundreds or millions of euros from the Municipality of Tirana.

This is what Erion Veliaj is asking for, for prosecutors to be silent, bow their heads, and accept what he wants.

To force them to submit, along with the courts, he attacks through the government media.

We have seen in the wiretaps how it went with accusations of two million euros for prosecutors, or how it went into personal attacks on the judge's physique, or how they made other accusations about the judge of Fakt, to lobbying with fraud and most recently with lies and manipulation of the public by saying that Erion's detention is being extended, after the prosecutors had arguments from the American lawyers.

When in fact this is a lie, it is a huge deception extracted from their minutes and all of it, as we emphasized above, has only one purpose: for prosecutors to give up on justice and become vassals of power.

But in the Albanian judiciary, there are still prosecutors and judges with integrity and honesty who cannot be held hostage by Veliaj's propaganda and scenarios, who do not retreat in the face of media intrigue, manipulation, and public deception.

Prosecutors are faced with facts, evidence and the truth proven by documents brought to court since July 24, 2025, where for seven months Erion Veliaj has been afraid to face justice, but is emboldened by lobbying and media attacks, manipulation and public deception./ CNA
