A few days ago, the letter of the police chief of the Peqin prison to the general director of this prison was published, where he raised the concern of the personalization of the cells by the convicts, who were living in "luxury".

MP Petrit Vasili reacted to this issue on Thursday. By means of a status on social networks, Vasili makes the government guilty.

He states that the cells have been turned into luxury apartments similar to Pablo Escobar's luxury "Cathedral" prison some 40 years ago.

The MP emphasizes that the SPAK should have urgently started investigations into this event in higher security institutions.

Vasili's statement:

The government is guilty, there are no scanners in prisons but luxury apartments for VIPs, SPAK is dumb!

Scanners and security cameras do not work in Albanian prisons, but there are cells converted into luxury apartments similar to the luxury prison "Cathedral" of Pablo Escobar about 40 years ago.

The administration of prisons is the responsibility of the Government and exclusively of the Ministry of Justice.

The People's Advocate has established the conversion of cells into apartments with privileges and extraordinary differentiations between VIP convicts and ordinary convicts.

The violations are clear, flagrant and scandalous and the law has been completely destroyed.

There is no reaction from Edi Rama because the bargain is clear with the convicted VIPs: "you will spend some time in prison with super conditions and then everything will be closed".

On the contrary, Edi Rama would immediately dismiss the Minister of Justice, the General Director of Prisons and a bunch of other officials, if only for an eye.

But Edi Rama can't do it because he ordered it himself.

Well, Edi Rama has his hands and mouth tied, but SPAK, what's wrong with him not reacting.

SPAK should start investigations urgently for this serious event in higher security institutions such as prisons.

The inaction of SPAK is totally intolerable.
