After observing several hospitals and hospital centers in the country, the investigative show "Stop" on TV Klan has stopped at the Trauma Hospital to see how hospital waste is managed.

To my surprise, syringes, sharps, hospital plastic items were found in and outside the garbage cans. The same situation near the temporary storage depot, as well as in other premises.

During the observation, the director of the Trauma Hospital, Edlira Bode, was informed about the presence of "Stopi" and immediately came out to say that she does not deal with this matter, but she will be interested and there will be measures for those responsible.

Director: I am not the right person to verify age, serums, glass bottles. There are people responsible for this work.

Journalist: However, you were informed about what we have found.

Director: I became aware that something is happening, that there are people filming, and I came to understand what is happening. I am confirmed by my staff that there is a closed hospital hazardous waste container and that the delivery of the waste follows a specific, written procedure. I have responsible persons who verify the implementation of this procedure.

Journalist: What does it cost you to come all the way to see what we found?

Director: Whether I watch it or not, it doesn't change anything. The responsible persons look at it. I respect every finding of yours and I will take every necessary measure that I have to take as the owner of the institution in case there is... Everything will be verified and I will definitely take measures.

The journalist of "Stop" notified the Police Station No. 3, which brought the police group and the OPGJ, who did the verification and documented the evidence.

Officially, the police informs that in relation to the case in question, proceedings have been initiated against two citizens for this case and the material has been handed over to the prosecution.

"After receiving the notification from the investigative show "Stop" that hospital waste was thrown into some garbage bins on the territory of the Trauma Hospital in violation of the law, the specialists for the Investigation of Crimes of the Police Station No. 3, carried out all the procedural actions - investigations and at the end of them they referred the materials to the prosecutor's office, where criminal proceedings were initiated against the citizens: FK, 55 years old, and DB, 61 years old, both residents of Tirana, for the crime of "waste management"
