The President of Montenegro, Jakov Millatovi?, has chosen the leader of the Europe Now party, Millojko Spaji?, as the representative for Prime Minister and formation of the new Government.

He made this decision two months after holding the general elections in this state.

Spajic now has 90 days to form a coalition and form the Government.

"I expect responsibility and adaptability from Spaji?, and all the political actors who participate in the negotiations for the formation of the Government", said Millatovi?.

"I believe that at this moment, Montenegro needs a stable Government, not separated from the European profile".

The Europe Now party came first in the June parliamentary elections.

The composition of the incoming Government will provide an overview of where this country will be headed, although the goal of membership in the European Union is constantly mentioned.

The June elections were held just a few months after Montenegro's political leadership was hit by the loss of former president Millo Djukanovic in the second round of April's presidential election.

Since its formation in 2022, the Europe Now party has pledged to advance the pro-European platform and has pledged to raise wages and carry out reforms./REL
