The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, held a meeting today with the Ambassador of Germany to Albania, Karl Bergner.

Through a post on social networks, Balla writes that the pivotal point of this meeting was the injection of German expertise into the State Police for the creation of new mechanisms for the promotion of people with high moral and professional integrity in this structure.

Among other things, the minister emphasizes that the goal for our country is to reach German standards.

"I welcomed the new German Ambassador in Tirana, Karl Bergner, to a meeting. While within the structure of the State Police we intend to create new mechanisms for the promotion of people with high moral and professional integrity, German expertise in this regard will be quite important. One of the priority sectors for us is the refresh, training and modernization according to German standards of the traffic police. We will continue to carry out joint investigative operations in the fight against criminal offenses for narcotics, illegal traffic, money laundering, economic and financial crime, computer crime. The permanent Task Force between our two police officers "Anti-Skifter" will continue to deliver results in striking down the criminal elements, with the opening and follow-up of parallel criminal proceedings."-writes Balla./ CNA
