A group of pensioners protested today in front of the Italian embassy in Albania, demanding the recognition of pensions between Albania and Italy.

One of the participants in the protest stated that the social contributions of the Albanians who worked in Italy are not transferred to their accounts, which is shameful because it is impossible to live with only a partial pension in Albania.

The Italian ambassador in Albania, Fabrizio Bucci, taking the trigger from this protest, came out of his office to explain to the group of protesters that everything will be resolved very soon.

He says that the Italian side is doing its best to solve this issue.

Bucci emphasizes that the signing of the Italian-Albanian agreement on the recognition of pensions will take place in the next month at the latest.

"It makes me happy to meet you. I must assure you that the Italian side is doing its best to solve this problem. We talked to reach an agreement with the Albanian side. We are now in the final moments of agreement, a few things are missing. The signing of the Italian-Albanian agreement will take place in the next few weeks or at most in the next month.
