The Director General of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, received in a meeting the director of the Anti-Terrorism Assistance Program in the Diplomatic Security Service, in the Department of State (ATA), Timothy Leeds, the manager of this program James Doherty and the new chief of the Regional Security Office, Kathryn Hammond.

Rrumbullaku thanked the leaders of the "ATA" Program for the support so far, as well as for the further commitment to continue this program.

During the meeting, the ways in which this program can continue to support law enforcement in Albania were discussed.

Also, American officials donated additional equipment to the State Police.

The American officials also met with the Director of the Anti-Terrorism Directorate, Alban Dautaj, to visit the premises of this Directorate, as well as to discuss how the previous training courses have benefited the anti-terrorism operations in Albania. The visit highlighted the very good cooperation between the Regional Security Office of the American Embassy and the State Police.

Since 2016, the Diplomatic Security Service Assistance Program, through the Regional Security Office at the Embassy, ??has donated millions of dollars in equipment and provided numerous trainings to the State Police to improve its capacities in the areas of of counterterrorism, cybercrime and digital forensics./ CNA
