The works for the Blue Corridor start/ Balluku gives details

The Deputy Prime Minister at the same time and the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, has announced that work has begun to connect Western Albania from north to south with the Blue Corridor.

Through a post on social networks, today Balluku has completed 40% of the works in the Thumane - Kashar segment.

Also, the Deputy Prime Minister informs that the three contracts to start work on the segments Milot - Thumanë, Kashar - Leka and Lekaj - Fier are in the process of being agreed upon and that the competition for the construction of the axis Milot - Balldren will be opened in the autumn.

"The increased number of visitors this season has undoubtedly aggravated the inherited traffic situation in the Milot - Kashar area.

The good news is that we have already started work to connect Western Albania from north to south with the Blue Corridor.

• Thumanë - Kashar, working at a fast pace, over 40% of the volumes.

• Milot - Thumane

• Kashar - Lekaj

• Lekaj - Fier, there are three contracts that we are signing to start work immediately.

• Milot - Balldren we open the construction competition in the fall.

• Murriqan - Lezha is the segment that connects us with Montenegro. Currently, ÚBIF consultants are drafting the preliminary project, which is expected to be delivered in December 2023," Balluku writes . / CNA
